1.Advertising can have beneficial effect on people's lives as we are offered a wide range of products that we can buy and make our lives easier .
2.Pros :
-people get to hear about various useful products
-there is no need for people to search where they can find a specific service or product (it's more than enough to turn on the TV and we find out quickly )
-we can hear about technologies that make our lives easier (which we didn't even know that existed )
Cons
-we are constantly distracted by ads ,our brain has to process a lot of information (we deal with so-called ,,information overload " ,we can be overwhelmed )
-we might be deceived into thinking that we need sth but end up wasting money
-products advertised might not look the same as in reality (clothes ,for example ) so we cant rely on the image presented on a screen

-I saw a pair of trousers advertised on an online-shopping website ,I selected a medium size and a beige colour but when it was delivered they looked totally different

-I was listening to the radio and heard about a life-changing carpet that will make you love spending time indoor .The promotion was so convincing that I stopped myself only when I was about to give my credit details to buy it ,although I have a job and I can't spend much time at home .
